The Huge Spiritual Lesson of the Upcoming Kentucky Derby!

I don’t know about you but I typically watch the Kentucky Derby every year.

It’s on the same day as my brothers birthday so it’s always been a tradition to bet on a horse and watch them run.

With that said, do you know what horses need in order to run a successful Kentucky Derby? A great jockey or an ideal location?

Nope and nope.

What a horse needs to run a successful Kentucky Derby is Blinders! Yes, I’m serious.

I heard this on a podcast recently and when horses aren’t wearing blinders, they get lost, scared, and confused about what they’re doing/what race they’re running. It’s like all of a sudden they lose all direction.

When their blinders are on, they’re full steam ahead and ready to win!

Putting this in spiritual terms, what happens in your own life when you don’t wear blinders?

I’m guessing you get jealous, you compare, your self esteem goes down, and you might even question your own path.

When you wear blinders, I’m guessing you feel invincible and like the world is yours because nothing feels better than owning yourself and your path.

Because we each have our own essence and path (which is the only race we can ever run), I wanted to remind everyone today to keep those blinders on!

I’ve often found in my life that to the degree we know and understand ourselves is the degree to how successful we are at wearing blinders and running a fierce race.
