We all know the saying "When one door closes, another one opens."

But has anyone heard this one?

"When one door closes, another one opens AND HELL IS THE HALLWAY.

Hearing this for the first time this week, I couldn't help but laugh!

How true is this?

So often when we leave the job, the relationship that's not serving us etc. there's a period of transition that's very uncomfortable. During this time, there can be a lot of anxiety, uncertainty, stress etc. because we don't know/don't trust that there's a better door waiting for us around the corner.

The thing about "hell being the hallway" is it requires growth and it requires patience. Although we live in a society of instant gratification, our life lessons are not and often take time to learn.

To be clear, the hallway is there to bring you to new levels of bravery, courage, patience, love, etc. and mostly to help you to rise into the woman/man you already know yourself deep down to be.
